Finger print jewelry

Finger print jewelry

Fingerprint jewelry, very personal and beautiful. And sometimes the last thing you really have from a loved one. Now a fingerprint jewelry does not always have to be a memorial or mourning jewel, but they often are.

After death, impressions can be made with ink or clay in the hospital or at the funeral home. We advise you to take your own prints during life, this can be done very quickly and easily. Why now? Because after death a lot can go wrong which will affect the result of the jewelry.

The well-known card with the pre-printed print
I get to see them regularly, the funeral home takes a print on a card that already has a yellow fingerprint on it. This print often shows through the print with ink. But of course you want your loved one and not the print that is pre-printed on the card on your jewelry. Ask the funeral home to take the imprint on a blank card or better yet, take that fingerprint now and put your card away in the safe! If you still receive the card with the pre-printed fingerprint, you will at least have a backup at home. And you really get the jewelry of your loved one on the jewelry and not the one pre-printed.

The print has failed
Sometimes I do see them, prints that have been carefully taken and are still beautifully printed and detailed on the card. The print can be taken over beautifully from this. And sometimes I see them, but often I don't. If your printout fails at the funeral home, you have no option to have another printout made, it is what it is. For example, my grandmother was 90 years old when she died, so her prints were almost unreadable from dying for a week. It can also happen that the prints fail because the house is no longer as flexible, for example due to old age and cold. So take them now, I have the fingerprints of everyone in my family in the safe.
You can read what I'm going to do with it here.

How do you take a fingerprint with ink?
It is very easy to take a fingerprint. All you need is a stamp pad and a slightly thicker card. Of course you can also use normal paper, but because I am going to keep them a little longer, I put them on a somewhat thicker piece of paper. If your fingerprint fails, just try again until you are satisfied. Roll your finger carefully from left to right over the paper to get the best prints. Prints made in life are so much more beautiful.

What kind of jewelry can you make with a fingerprint?
You can put your prints somewhere safe and keep them until you want to have them made into jewelry. Fingerprints are most commonly used for mourning jewelry, but of course you don't have to. You can have them engraved on anything. Consider, for example:

* A print on the outside or on the inside of your wedding rings
* A family piece of jewelry with all your prints together
* A mommy jewelry with your children's prints
* Footprints of your baby on a nice pendant

As you can see, much more is possible with fingerprints than you think. Be smart, make them now and put them away somewhere safe or have them turned them into something beautiful!
